We are thrilled to offer the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience - a close encounter with our beautiful sloths Halina, Sophocles, and their new baby Echo.
One lucky winner (and a friend) will be invited behind the scenes of the Zoo to spend some magical moments inside our sloth enclosure with the opportunity to hand feed our sloth gang, including adorable baby Echo born on 23rd August.
The prize draw is open until 1pm on 20th October which is International Sloth Day! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like, with 100% of monies raised pledged to The Sloth Conservation Foundation.
The Experience
This truly unforgettable experience will give you the chance to be one of the first people to meet baby Echo up close! An amazing one-to-one experience lasting between 30 and 40 minutes which will leave you grinning from ear to ear.
This VIP Experience includes:
- Whole day's admission to the Park for the participants
- Sloth food preparations in our Zoo Kitchen
- The chance to feed our sloth family
- One-on-one time with a Zoo Keeper
- The opportunity for some close up sloth photography
- Animal Encounter certificate
- Sloth plush toy for each participant
As cute and cuddly as sloths may seem, they do not enjoy being touched or handled so our sloth experiences are non-contact, but they love taking snacks from your hands!
The experience is for a maximum of two participants (minimum age is 5 years, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult).
Full details on our sloth experiences and health and safety guidelines can be found on our website here
The Sloth Conservation Foundation based in Costa Rica is dedicated to the protection of sloths living in wild and human-modified habitats through research, education and community-based conservation.
SloCo are currently embarking on their biggest project to date - the great sloth population census, using the first ever sloth detection dogs. We would love to be able to support this project by raising enough money to sponsor (at least) one sloth GPS collar at a cost of £2,000 each.
Every donation will make a huge difference to protecting wild sloths from the devastating effects of urbanisation. 100% of monies raised will be donated to The Sloth Conservation Foundation.
SloCo are a registered charity in the United Kingdom (charity number 1170992).
