British Airways and Alzheimer’s Society Partner with Crowdfunder UK to Raise Funds for Dementia

LONDON – British Airways and Alzheimer’s Society have teamed up with Crowdfunder UK to raise funds for those affected by dementia. The partnership aims to support those facing the devastation of dementia, as well as those travelling with dementia.

The team at Crowdfunder UK has been working with the partners to make it easy for people to raise vital funds through an Alzheimer’s Society dedicated crowdfunding page. British Airways has pledged their support via the British Airways Community Fund and the use of British Airways Executive Club Avios Group Limited points, alongside funds from the wider crowdfunding community.

The campaign has already raised over £111,000 from more than 1,673 supporters, but there is still more to do. The team at Crowdfunder UK is calling on everyone to pledge their support and/or Avios points to help those experiencing dementia.

The partnership between British Airways and Alzheimer’s Society is a significant step towards raising awareness and funds for dementia. The funds raised will go towards supporting those affected by dementia, as well as funding research into the disease.

To compliment the fundraising activity on Crowdfunder, British Airways are also running additional activities to boost support for Alzheimer’s Society: employees are taking part in memory walks and a prize draw trip to Dubai has been launched.
